Bikur Cholim of Dallas is looking for a car for our patients who are able to drive themselves or a member of their family is able to. For reasons of privacy and particularly connected to the children's urological procedures these patients and their families require a higher frequency of rides. In the past, Rabbi Cohen and his wife through their chessed provided a car for that purpose. Unfortunately, said car is no longer.
We are a charitable organization that relies on the donations of our community and the volunteer work of people like you. While we will be looking at all avenues of potentially resolving this need, prior to spending donor funds, we believe it is prudent to ask if anyone has, knows of, or can point us to an older car that could be either a donation or for a very small price. Or perhaps someone knows of a leasing company that works with charities or the like that can help us resolve this need.
As a 501c3 we would be able to provide a donation receipt if a car was donated, which in some cases, may be more valuable for some people. If you have an idea, a resource of some kind you can point us to, please email info@bikurcholimofdallas.org.
