Job Description – Bikur Cholim Administrative Assistant
Bikur Cholim of Dallas, a recently formed Texas nonprofit is seeking to hire a part-time administrative professional for the facilitating its services delivered to clients both in the DFW area and those travelling to DFW for treatment in its hospitals.
The Administrative Assistant will have the following job duties:
Answering calls and emails, managing client intake to coordinate the visits of out-of-town patients and their families, scheduling, arranging various transportation to and from airport, medical facilities, equipment referrals assist with appointment scheduling and housing
Manage BCD calendar, Whatsapp groups coordinating visits and volunteers
Help arrange transportation for local and out of town clients by soliciting our volunteer drivers through our WhatsApp groups
Help arrange meals by coordinating with the JCC Meals and other restaurants and caterers under the vaad to deliver meals to hospitals and their families
Assist in arranging people to stock Bikur Cholim rooms in hospitals, referral
Manage a monthly newsletter publicizing the work of BCD
Job Candidate Requirements:
Fluency in English and Hebrew (reading and writing preferred)
Knowledge of MS-Office, Google Office suite including forms, calendar, and sheets, and Whatsapp messaging
minimum of 4 hours of availability per day Monday through Thursday (can be variable across the day) – This is a flexible remote work arrangement
Positive, friendly attitude that comforts BCD clients who are experiencing hardship and difficulty
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $20/hr. (paid as a 1099 Contractor)
