Welcome our New Administrator

We are happy to announce that Jennifer Brill has joined Bikur Cholim of Dallas.

Jennifer is a native Dallasite with roots that go back generations. After getting her undergraduate degree, Jennifer pursued her Masters Degree in Linguistics at Ben Gurion University in Beersheva, Israel, where she met her husband Ben. Today, Jennifer and Ben are raising two young children in Plano and doing their parts to help shape the Jewish Community of DFW. In her spare time Jennifer loves to read and is currently learning Russian and serves on the Anshei Torah Board of Directors.

Bikur Cholim is looking for a new Car!!! Some suggestions are in the slides below...

Just kidding...

But we will be holding a chessed campaign fundraiser to raise money for a gently used minivan and to update and add furnishings to the existing Bikur Cholim Apartment.

Patients visit Dallas for pediatric urology and fertility treatments that require privacy and private transportation independent of our volunteer driver and housing network. Patients arriving from all over the world are given a cell phone, a private apartment, and a car for use during their stay in Dallas. For a child undergoing a complicated urological procedure, involving multiple trips to a surgery center, a hyperbaric pressure chamber, and pain, sometimes the most we can do is provide a private place for that child or client to heal.

Thank G-d, we have been privileged to provide access to this apartment and car to many clients, and we have spent BCD resources on maintenance, upkeep, and repair. We now turn to our incredible donors as we seek to furnish the apartment better, repair the floors, install new beds, and change much of the furniture, kitchen utensils, and other items to make the stays of our clients comfortable, easy and private. At the same time, we need to replace the current van we have that is on its last leg, going from one repair to the next.

Keep your eyes peeled for more details...
